The two work supportively to encourage self-diagnosis, symptom management, relief, and identifiable change. It is my desire to support one to enhance their insight around their challenges and symptoms with methods that reduce and minimize the intensity and duration, aiding emotional regulation. This LPC continues to provide couples, family, and group therapy.
Psychotherapy or talk therapy focuses on problem solving and learning techniques for coping with a variety of issues, mental illness, or emotional difficulties. Psychotherapy is offered to support those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, self-esteem, codependency, co-occurring disorders, etc.
Neurofeedback is a type of biofeedback that measures and trains brain waves. Results are achieved by teaching the brain to change using feedback. During a session, the brain receives real time audio and visual information that reflects its own electrical activity. This ‘brain training’ produces more efficient, balanced and stable neural patterns. Brain dysregulation underlies emotional, cognitive, and behavioral disorders. Appropriate training protocols for an individual is chosen according to a professional assessment of symptoms and history.
